   1. These items are DVDs, VCDs, CDs and Books which are required to be licensed and sealed by Media Development Authority of Singapore ( MDA)
   2. There will be no additional administrative charges for customers whose items are required to be sent for censorship or clearance by the relevant authority if necessary
   3. Customers are advised to refrain from bringing those items that are pornographic in nature, upsets racial/religious harmony in the country and /or promote violence
   4. Delivery of such items may be delayed up to additional 3-4 weeks.
   5. Customer will be responsible for goods from the portal.

Controlled Goods
Certain goods are allowed entry into Singapore only when you produce the import permit or authorisation from the relevant authorities. If you do not have the import permit or authorisation, the item will be detained and referred to the relevant authority for approval.

Prohibited Goods

• Regarding goods whose importation requires permit, approval, indication or compliance with any other regulations pursuant to the provisions of other laws or regulations, proof that the said requirements have been satisfied must be presented to the customs collector.
• Regarding goods in the customs clearance, requiring the confirmation of the customs collector as regards the requirements, such goods and the method of confirmation must be made public, as prescribed by the Presidential Decree, notwithstanding the provisions of other laws or regulations.
• With respect to the goods for which it is required to discharge the obligation to use them for a specified purpose after importation, pursuant to the provisions of other laws and regulations, the customs collector may demand in writing to discharge such obligation.
• None of the goods falling under any of the following Subparagraphs shall be imported:
• such books, publications, drawings and painting, films, phonographic records, video works, sculpture and other items of similar nature that may either disturb the constitutional order or harm public security or custom;
• goods which may reveal confidential information of the government or be used for intelligence activities;
• such coins, paper currency, bank notes, debentures and/or any other negotiable instruments counterfeited, forged or imitated.

Restricted Goods

• The importation of certain classes of merchandise may be restricted to protect the economy and security of Korea, to safeguard consumer health and well-being, and to preserve domestic plant and animal life. Some commodities are also subject to an import quota or a restraint under bilateral trade agreements and arrangements.
• Many of these restrictions on importations are subject, in addition to Customs requirements, to the laws and regulations administered by other Korea government agencies with which Customs cooperates in enforcement. These laws and regulations may, for example, prohibit entry; limit entry to certain ports; restrict routing, storage, or use; or require treatment, labeling, or processing as a condition of release. Customs clearance is given only if these various additional requirements are met.
• The foreign exporter should make certain (1) that the Korean importer has provided proper information to permit the submission of necessary information concerning packing, labeling, etc., and (2) that necessary arrangements have been made by the importer for entry of the merchandise into Korea.
• It may be impracticable to list all articles specifically; however, various classes of articles are discussed in this chapter as below. Foreign exporters and Korean importers should consult the agency mentioned for items, as well as for any changes to the laws and regulations under which the commodities are controlled.
• Weapons(including mock and ornamental ones), such as Firearms and Knives, Explosives or hazardous substances. Firearms for hunting and Knives may be cleared with approval from the Police Chief of the district in which you reside.
• Poppy, Opium, Coca Leaves, etc. Narcotics, Hallucinogenic Substances, Marijuana, and Manufactured Articles made from those substances.
• Live animals and plants to be protected by CITES(Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) and Manufactured Articles made from those substances.

• for examples :
o - tigers, leopards, elephants, ostrich, owls, cobras, tortoises, crocodiles, corals, etc. or any part or products made from them.
o - bear's gall, and elecampane, etc. for chinese medicine
• foreign currency or other monetary instruments(excluding promissory note, foreign exchange draft and Letter of Credit, Bill of Lading), exceeding U.S. $10,000 or equivalent amount should be declared(including Korean Won(￦), Traveller's Checks expressed in Korean Won(￦)).
• a casher's check, a check, a postal telegraphic transfer, etc.
